Ileana Futter

Ileana Futter is an experienced and creative consultant and fundraising executive with a proven history in major and leadership gifts, donor cultivation and solicitation, strategic planning, event management, donor prospecting, board development and corporate giving.

As the principal of Lee Associates, Ileana provides short-and long-term development services and strategic guidance to non-profit and advocacy organizations. She collaborates closely with clients to increase their base of support and name recognition.

Prior to restarting her consulting business, Ileana served in senior level leadership positions in the development department at the Center for Reproductive Rights. In these roles, Ileana managed a portfolio of high-level donors that raised $6+ million annually, spearheaded the organization’s annual $2.7 million gala, designed customized fundraising training sessions for board and staff members.

Prior to this role, Ileana founded and managed Lee Associates, a consulting firm based in Washington, DC, and New York. For twenty years, Ileana provided strategic direction and planning, board identification and development, fundraising assessment, event coordination and relationship building to a cadre of  national nonprofit organizations.

She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and American University’s School of Communications.
