Kerry Watterson
Kerry Pereira Watterson is a nationally recognized nonprofit executive and fundraising strategist with more than 25 years of experience guiding leaders, boards of directors, and social impact organizations to achieve breakthrough results. Over the course of his career, Kerry has helped nonprofits raise and leverage more than $600 million to advance social good causes, launch new programs, and scale impact across the country.
As Founder & CEO of Fundraising Well, Kerry partners with nonprofit executives and boards to design strategies that increase revenue and sustainability. His training programs have helped more than 150 boards deepen their engagement in fundraising—leading to 25% increases in revenue and 100% board giving and retention in the year following his facilitation. He has developed and delivered curricula for national leadership institutes, including the New Executive Director Institute with the Support Center, the Allstate Foundation’s Executive Leadership Program, the University of California, Irvine, and Hunter College.
Kerry is also a sought-after coach and consultant, working alongside nonprofit executives to strengthen their leadership capacity, navigate organizational transitions, and unlock new sources of funding. His coaching philosophy emphasizes creative problem-solving, ethical leadership, and building systems that enable long-term growth.
Previously, Kerry has held senior leadership positions with organizations such as the ACLU, Year Up United, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Movember Foundation, Kaplan Inc., and more. He consistently exceeded fundraising goals, built groundbreaking public–private partnerships, and developed the next generation of nonprofit leaders–and brought a few Broadway musicals to life along the way.
