As president and CEO of Bohse & Associates, Pat provides oversight, strategic direction, stewardship and advocacy to the non-profit arena. Since 1989, she was instrumental in discovering new and better ways for non-profits to unlock value, cut costs, build assets and move forward. Pat was the chief mobilizer and creator of transformational growth at every organization she helped build.

As the leader and spokesperson for Bohse & Associates, an organization that provides focused, customized consultation, she is a strong communicator eager to bring her leadership experience to the government and not-for-profit sectors by offering inspirational guidance – through coaching sessions, business and management presentations, digital platforms and webinars – on Succession Planning, Board Development and facilitating retreats and workshops.

As the former Executive Director of SCAN (Senior Citizens Activities Network), Pat practiced what she preached, rebuilding a struggling non-profit into a thriving adult social education and resource center, expanding its reach to Monmouth and Ocean counties. SCAN now enhances the quality of life for active adults through socialization, education, technology and targeted resources. Prior to leaving SCAN in August 2021, Pat created a virtual senior center platform during the pandemic, which allowed seniors to stay connected during a time of isolation. Currently the organization now operates in-person as well as with a virtual platform – accommodating active seniors as well as homebound adults. Pat is now advocating that virtual platforms be created nationwide so that seniors – anywhere – can connect and engage with each other through an online community. Pat is confident she can help your organization identify and cultivate the robust relationships and programs necessary to thrive in uncertain times.

Pat is a nationally recognized speaker and a member of the National Speakers Association. She was also the host of a weekly radio show, Not-for-Profit eXchange, and has hosted television segments of "Welcome to SCAN.” She understands the macro and micro sides of robust business development and how to navigate government, private sector and business organizations to deliver long-range strategies that align with their mission.

With her background in administration, finance and programming, Pat’s sub-specialty is aging services, spending more than 45 years in that arena. She was the former Association Manager for the New Jersey Area Agencies on Aging (NJ4A), comprised of the state’s 21 County Offices on Aging, where she assisted the organization with strategic planning, meeting facilitation and general operations. Pat also served on the board of directors for the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs (NANASP) from 2003 to 2018.

Pat holds academic credentials in Business Administration and Sociology and is a graduate of the Non-profit Management Institute of Columbia University. In 2013, Pat was the recipient of the Reverend Robert V. Lott Humanitarian Award from LiveOne NY, formerly known as the Council of Senior Centers and Services of NYC. Recently Pat was awarded the “Leader of Distinction in the Field of Aging” by SCAN and has been recognized for her achievements in Monmouth County as well as by the state of New Jersey.
