Sally Cross CFRE

I am a nonprofit professional with nearly forty years’ fundraising and leadership experience. Previously, I worked the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley as Vice President Philanthropy and CEO, and SUNY New Paltz Foundation. I have presented at national and regional conferences, to nonprofits, and boards. I have also taught graduate courses on planned and major gifts and capital campaigns.

I know from experience that nonprofits always have too much on their plates! It can feel daunting to start a new, complex program like planned giving. I like to help analyze all aspects of the challenge and then map out actionable steps towards implementation in partnership with an organization. This helps to integrate new program elements into a manageable plan. At the same time, I like to use data to measure progress and identify what is working and what needs to be changed. I find that this approach produces stronger and more sustainable outcomes.
