Tammy Tai is the founder and principal of Tai Consulting, multi-service boutique practice, providing innovative solutions for the nonprofit, philanthropic, and public sectors grounded in the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.  Services include: strategic planning, program design and consultation, individual and group coaching, community of practice design and management, and facilitation. Tai brings over twenty-five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, primarily in the areas of youth development and mentoring, racial equity, and organizational development.  She began her career as an elementary bilingual Spanish teacher in Phoenix, AZ and has served in progressive management roles, including as vice president and chief mission officer at MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership and deputy director of Embrace Boston.  Tai is also a foster parent with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and is a past board member of two organizations.  She is a Professional Certified Coach and earned a B.A. in sociology from Harvard University and an MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.  She lives in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood with her spouse and teenage son and is the parent to two other adult children and godparent to many others.
