Valrie Barrett

Valrie Barrett is a visionary operations executive and trusted advisor with over two decades of experience leading organizational strategy, systems transformation, and operational excellence across the nonprofit sector. As Principal Consultant at Vested Beyond, she partners with mission-driven organizations to build resilient infrastructure, streamline operations, and strengthen leadership capacity—especially those serving justice-impacted and marginalized communities.

Previously, Valrie served as Chief Operating Officer at Refoundry and the Brooklyn Community Bail Fund (now Envision Freedom Fund), where she led major infrastructure projects, spearheaded HR and finance system overhauls, and developed protocols that drove measurable improvements in organizational effectiveness and sustainability. She also held leadership roles at Youth Communication and JustLeadershipUSA, where she enhanced internal systems, talent development, and board governance.

Valrie holds a PhD in Social Welfare from the CUNY Graduate Center, a Master’s in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business & Technology.
