Please join us on Thursday, November 6th from 1-2pm EST, for the Arts + Culture Quarterly Circle, a members-only community of practice. The Arts & Culture Circle serves as a forum and learning space for consultants working with arts and cultural organizations to discuss opportunities and challenges within that field.

When Leadership Says Stop:

Navigating Bandwidth and Burnout in Donor Engagement

When organizational leaders feel overextended, even essential donor engagement efforts can come to a halt. In this interactive case study, we’ll explore a real-world scenario in which a nonprofit president has placed a hard stop on creating new donor events due to limited bandwidth. Participants will work in small groups to identify strategies for balancing leadership capacity with fundraising needs, and share approaches for maintaining donor relationships without overburdening staff. Come ready to exchange ideas and leave with practical tools for navigating similar challenges in your own consulting practice.

This session will be led by Melissa Kerbel, founder and principal at Kerbel Philanthropy. Melissa has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years and acts as an Executive Director for Hire for her anchor client.

The group strives to create a supportive space where all can share openly. This is a member-led group and its content and format may evolve as needed to better serve its members. The meetings are intended to share knowledge, build skills, and foster collaboration and community.

There is no charge to attend any of the Association's Circle meetings, but registration is always required. An email with the Zoom link will be sent the day before each Circle meeting.
